Weren't we just talking about this? Bioware have dished out a bunch of previews as well as a new gameplay trailer for the latest Dragon Age game, hot on the heel's of yesterday's box art reveal, as well as a release date - the Inquisition goes forth on October 7th.

The trailer focuses on the events that brought the player character, the Inquisitor, to their position - lone survivor of a tear in reality opened into The Fade, which killed thousands of others, they're tasked with saving Thedas from this demonic calamity before the entire world and its problems are enveloped by it. Returning characters Cassandra and Varric Tethras provide the bulk of the narration, and it's your usual Bioware stuff - ancient evils, worlds under threat, disparate allies unite or fall. But damn, it sure is pretty looking Bioware stuff. There's Dragons, Darkspawn, Demons, Giant Spiders (oh no the next generation of fantasy Giant Spiders, my arachnophobia DOES NOT WANT IT), and what appears to be the final party cast in a fleeting glimpse near the end. Exciting stuff!

Dragon Age Inquisition releases later this year on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
