I'm working on putting a NON-PROFIT (i.e. it will be available completely 100% free on my website) fiction podcast thing together, and I'd love (for thematic reasons) to put a song by Jonathon Coulton in it at one point, as a sort of musical interlude.

JoCo's website says that he uses the creative commons license, which says you are able to

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format

As long as you attribute the song to him, and are not using the material for commercial purposes.

So basically my question is, before I get myself into trouble, including the song as a musical interlude in my podcast, as long as I credit him at the end, and I'm not selling the podcast itself, would be fine, right?

Also, I am working on putting adsense on my website (if they'll ever approve or contact me), but the work itself would still be free. Would I have to avoid putting ads on that page?

Any help people could give me would be awesome. Thanks!

Edit: For the record, back when I used to listen to VTW Productions podcasts, they used to do this sort of thing with songs licensed under the creative commons license all the time, which is what gave me the idea in the first place.
