Guys, I'm actually shocked. I actually have a significant line-up of movies that I want to see in the theater on their release weekends, and I'm kind of freaked out by it. I have a date with my local cinema for the rest of my May weekends, and beyond.

Godzilla (U.S. release date May 16, 2014) - Looks like giant monster fun!

X-Men: Days of Future Past (U.S. release date May 23, 2014) - I'm hopeful, but not fully committed to loving it. Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart are adorable, though.

Maleficent (U.S. release date May 30, 2014) - It's promising. I just hope they let Maleficent stay a villain, and don't try to make her a "good guy."

How to Train Your Dragon 2 (U.S. release date June 13, 2014) - This can't help but be good. Same cast, same everyone. Should be great!

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (U.S. release date July 11, 2014) - I'm not a huge fan of the Apes franchise, but the Rise was pretty good. We'll see.

Jupiter Ascending (U.S. release date July 18, 2014) - Eh, could go either way. I'm mostly interested because the Wachowski siblings are involved, and they're reasonably good at sci-fi.

Guardians of the Galaxy (U.S. release date August 1, 2014) - This, I'm super excited about. Some people may think Marvel is taking a risk here, but I think they've demonstrated their ability to make comics accessible in movie form, exciting people who are new to the genre. Plus Zoe Saldana and Groot.

What summer movies are you guys most excited about?
